Bollywood film producer & fashion designer were killed in attack on Istanbul nightclub. The revelers were there to celebrate New Year.
CEO of Rizvi builders ‘Abis Rizvi’ (son of Akhtar Hassan Rizvi, a former Rajya Sabha member and NCP leader) had produced several Bollywood films, including ‘Roar: Tigers of the Sunderbans’.
“I spoke to him (Abis Rizvi) on Dec 31 at 10.45 pm and couldn’t believe it when I heard the news. I have written and directed a film named He-Man which he is producing. We even saw the rough cut of the film together on December 24,” Puneet Issar, actor-director (the man who almost killed Amitabh Bachchan once).
The Reina club in Istanbul is an upscale club frequented by famous locals, including singers, actors and sports stars.
The attacker, armed with a long-barreled weapon, killed a policeman and a civilian outside the Reina club around 1:15 a.m. before entering and firing at people partying inside, Istanbul Gov. Vasip Sahin said.

Bangkok Bombing Almost Killed this Bollywood Couple
The recent bombing in Bangkok, that killed at least 22 people, seemed to be aimed mostly at foreign travellers in order to hurt the economy, and almost killed this Bollywood couple.
The bomb went off at the Erawan shrine, which is an important tourist attraction and the area is full of five-star hotels and glitzy shopping malls, which are frequented by tourists, including celebrities.
And guess which Bollywood couple was in the vicinity of the blast?
It was Riteish Deshmukh & Genelia Deshmukh (formerly Genelia D’Souza)!
Genelia was in Bangkok for an advertisement shoot and hubby Riteish had accompanied her to Bangkok. At the time of the blast, Genelia was in a mall next to the explosion, and even Ritesh was in the vicinity of the blast.
The couple later tweeted about the incident. .
Bomb set off just opp the mall we are currently in -can hear the sirens blazing all over- we are safe but feel terrible for the lives lost.

Thank you all for your prayers and concern. We all are fine.

The proximity of foreign celebrities to the blast zone indicates that the attacker zeroed in on the international visitors who are so valuable to Thailand’s economy.
The incident is likely to boost the nervousness of potential visitors to Thailand, in the short term.
