Rahul Dev Samra is a former model and Indian film actor, known for his unconventional, rugged looks. Besides featuring in hindi films, Rahul has acted as villain in Punjabi as well as South Indian films.
However, when you’re in the Bigg Boss house, your credentials do not matter much, especially when the host is someone like Salman Khan.
Rahul Dev was at the receiving end, when Salman Khan chided him for being lazy (basically not being entertaining by playing it safe).
In the past few Bigg Boss seasons, its been observed that most participants (at the beginning of the season) avoid tasks that could get them into trouble with fellow participants, and Salman Khan has been reprimanding them in order to get them into action to make the show more interesting.
The same happened this time also as Salman lost his cool over zero participation from certain participants in various tasks and activities inside the house, one of them being Rahul Dev.
We hope we will see more fights, controversies, link-ups and fun from here on, although Salman’s lashing has not gone down well with the participants.
Rahul’s fiancee Mugdha Godse (acted in several hindi films) says that Salman’s advice was unwarranted and that Rahul did nothing wrong.
So why did Rahul Dev (a naturally shy and reticent person) participate in Bigg Boss 10?
For the money of course, even he admits it.
When asked why he chose a controversial show like Bigg Boss, which is completely opposite to his personality, Rahul said it was for his son, Siddharth. He divulged that his son is studying abroad and he needs the money to support his education that would hold him in good stead.
Rahul is one of the highest paid contestants on Bigg Boss (paid around Rs 2 crore.)
Rahul Dev and Salman Khan in a Bollywood film
Rahul Dev was supposed to make his film debut with the Bollywood film ‘Dus’, which also starred Salman Khan. However, the director Mukul Anand died midway leaving the film incomplete, and the film got shelved forever.
