‘Young’ Bajirao Ranveer Singh to replace ‘old’ Sultan Salman Khan as Thums Up brand ambassador

Salman Khan will no longer be seen promoting the soft drink ‘Thums Up’ for the beverage giant Coca Cola India. Salman’s contract with Coca Cola expired recently, but the company chose not to renew it.

A couple of reasons have been cited for their separation.

Salman Khan is committed to an existing relationship with Bigg Boss and this year the show will be sponsored by Parle Agro’s apple juice brand Appy Fizz, a brand that competes with the Coca-Cola India product portfolio.

That is why the two parties mutually decided not to renew their current contract.

Coca Cola has now roped in the much younger Ranveer Singh as their brand ambassador.

As per an insider, Ranveer works well for the image of Coca Cola, which is seen as a young brand, and a fifty year old Salman Khan did not seem to be the right fit.

Both Ranveer Singh & Salman Khan are among the top celebrity endorsers in India.
