Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are in the news (like always) but this time for the wrong reasons.
This is the perfect example of why making films is considered a very risky business.
Ask distributor Narendra Hirawat of NH Studioz, who suffered a massive loss of Rs 60 crore because of the failure of Tubelight and Jab Harry Met Sejal (JHMS).
Yes, Rs 60 crores (Enough to produce 5-6 small budget films)!
This film distributor has worked with both the Khans in the past, so he knew what he was getting into. Hirawat was obviously excited when he bagged the all-India distribution rights of Salman’s Tubelight and Shahrukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal. And who would have expected a Salman film to go wrong, and that too during Eid (going by his past records)?
But Salman Khan/Salim Khan had promised to compensate the distributors?
“We haven’t received any money from Salman Khan. All these reports about distributors receiving money, are false,” says Hirawat who is yet to receive the money from Salman Khan for Tubelight’s failure.

Mr. Hirawat, however, says Shahrukh is a nice person and is hopeful about getting some relief.
“I hope we get some kind of compensation for ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ too, but it is all up to them [the producers]. As of now, there hasn’t been any word on it,” he signed off.
We feel really sorry for this man, who has suffered much more than we can imagine.
