Allu Arjun (son of producer Allu Aravind) is a big star in the Telugu film industry, but many of his films have also been dubbed in Hindi and his 2008 Telugu film Parugu was remade in Hindi as Heropanti. So like many other actors from South, even Allu Arjun is open to acting in Bollywood.
While Allu Arjun gets several Bollywood offers, he is just waiting for the right role to come by.
“A full-fledged Hindi film is something that I am interested in. I think any south Indian actor would be interested because it (Bollywood) is such a big industry and a new terrain to explore,” Arjun.
Several south Indian actors like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ram Charan and Dulquer Salmaan have acted in Hindi films, but none of them enjoy the stardom they have back home (its a bit different with the ladies though).

“Dhanush did Raanjhanaa and it worked really well. Dulquer did (Bollywood) films but I don’t think they worked that much. To be a big actor in Bollywood, the key is consistency. I think consistently these people have either not been showing interest or delivering,” says Arjun.
Arjun has already worked with several Bollywood artistes, many of whom have worked in Telugu films. Popular Bollywood names such as Tabu, Pooja Hegde, Armaan Malik, Shreya Ghoshal are working on Arjun’s latest Telugu film “Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo”, but Arjun feels that doesn’t really mean he is inching closer to Bollywood.
