Bollywood can be a tricky place, where even if you belong to a family of stars, you can still go wrong with your judgments, when it comes to choosing or rejecting films.
Arbaaz Khan (brother of Salman Khan) is one such example.
Arbaaz turned down a couple of films that eventually went to Akshay Kumar, and both the films were successful at the box office. This was revealed by none other than Salman Khan during the promotion of Tubelight.
One of the films is ‘Khiladi’ (1992), a murder mystery–thriller, which helped Akshay gain popularity as ‘The Khiladi Kumar’ of Bollywood. Not many are aware that Akshay Kumar was not the original choice for the Abbas-Mustan directed film.

The makers had earlier approached Arbaaz Khan for the film, which he turned down and eventually fell in the lap of Akshay Kumar.
Another film ‘Dhadkan’ (2000), a romantic drama with some beautiful songs, was also offered to Arbaaz. The film then went to Akshay, who got the opportunity to play a totally different role in the movie.

Wow, I am sure Akshay must be thankful to Arbaaz, as both the films became blockbusters and helped cement Akshay’s position in Bollywood.
Just wondering what was Arbaaz thinking when he rejected the films? Did he wish to get into film direction? Wish Salman Khan had revealed that too.
