What is Tap Dance?
Its a form of dance where you hit the floor using your tap shoes and create a sound similar to a percussive instrument. For that reason, many also consider it to be a form of music.
Two major variations on tap dance exist:
- Broadway tap: This form focuses more on the dance and is widely performed as a part of musical theater
- Rhythm (Jazz) tap: It focuses more on musicality, and dancers are usually jazz lovers and consider themselves to be a part of the Jazz tradition.
