Bollywood Celebs Invited to White House for An Event

Can you guess which Bollywood celebrity has been invited to attend an event in the White House? If you have been keeping a close tab on some of our Bollywood stars who have been doing well in America, I guess it would be easy to guess who it is.

Yes, that’s correct! Priyanka Chopra (of Quantico fame), whose international career is going great, has been invited for a dinner event (annual White House Correspondents dinner that will be held later in April.)

Priyanka Chopra first displayed her talents to the international audience by featuring in the singles ‘In My City’ and ‘Exotic’ ft. Pitbull, later she worked in the ABC hit thriller Quantico. Now she will be seen in the film remake of the yesteryear hit TV series ‘Baywatch’ (she will be seen alongside Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson).

Now this invitation to the White House for a dinner event is definitely another feather in her cap. Priyanka, in most likelihood, will also meet the Obamas.

Do you remember another Bollywood actress who was invited to the White House for an event? She even took a selfie with the US president Barack Obama?

It was Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat! Yes, that’s correct! She was invited to the White House to attend a tea party (even though she didn’t have much to show on her resume).


Some time back, a documentary on Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman was screened in the White House in Washington, along with the a special screening of Jai Ho. Considered one of the world’s most influential people by Time magazine, the documentary revealed the evolution of his style of music — a fusion of eastern sensibilities and western technology.
