Fortune Magazine has released their list of the most powerful women in business in India, and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, wife of star cricketer Virat Kohli, finds her name in the list.
Anushka has been placed #39 in the list. Producer Ekta Kapoor’s name also features in this list of powerful business women.
Besides business, cultural and social factors were also considered when making this list.
Fortune India mentions Anushka as the founder of a clothing line: Nush, and also the brand ambassador of top women-centric brands such as Nivea, Elle 18, Myntra and Lavi. It says Anushka set up her own movie production company at the age of 25 years, and produced three small-budget movies, which each earned Rs 40 crore at the box office. She also partnered with Netflix to produce movies, thereby combining both business and Bollywood into a profitable venture.
