While shooting for Welcome Back, John Abraham got the opportunity to drive the $3 million McLaren owned by the Dubai royal family (producer Firoz Nadiadwala has close ties with the royal family). This car can speed upto 340 kms per hour, and John actually took the car upto 304 kms/hr.
Dubai’s image as a centre for supercars hugely benefits them, as the supercars provide excellent advertising for the emirate’s tourism sector. Lot of tourists in the UAE pick up their dream cars to see around, and also to fulfill their desire of driving a top-end luxury car.
Bollywood actor Zayed Khan, whose parents own a home in Dubai, bought a Ferrari some time back for use in the UAE. “I want to keep it here since my parents have a place out here. Anyway, the roads in India are so wonderful to drive on,” said Khan taking a dig at the bumpy roads in Mumbai.
