Startups selling Bollywood Merchandise Online
In one of our earlier posts, we had mentioned how the film merchandise business is yet to take of in India.
Having said that, a few startups have spotted the opportunity and have started selling Bollywood merchandise online, to cater to the needs of Bollywood fans.
e-Commerce portal BollyWoo sells official Bollywood merchandise and has tied up with popular production houses like Yash Raj Films, Dharma Productions, T-Series, Fox Studios, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures among others (for their design rights). The online portal sells apparels used by actors in Bollywood movies.
One of the best things about buying on BollyWoo is that you can play your favourite song or movie and choose a merchandise by clicking the popup that shows up on your screen (shows the outfit that the actor/actress is wearing).
That is really cool, you can seethe video below to get an idea.
Another such company is ‘Fully Filmy’, but it caters to fans of South Indian films. The company has plans to launch their Bollywood line soon.

Commando Merchandise: Take Vidyut Jammwal Home
As part of the promotion of the upcoming film of the Commando franchise, the producers have introduced a merchandise range targeted towards fans of Vidyut Jammwal and Bollywood buffs. These products are ideal for kids who love action-oriented games and outfits.
The range includes toys and clothes across categories like toy guns, remote-controlled cars, robots, jackets and vests, which are now available on popular online shopping portals.
In both these movies, Vidyut Jamwal plays a trained Commando taking on his enemies. Vidyut was kickass in the first movie (and it was great to see him as a villain in Force). Hope he repeats the feat in Commando 2.
