Kangana seems to be extremely angry with the film industry, mainly because very few came out in her support when her fight with Hrithik became public.
And very few are aware that she is not on good terms with Deepika Padukone as well.
Recently, the film industry decided to extend their support to Deepika, because of the threats she received for Padmaavat.
Shabana Azmi who initiated a “Deepika Bachao” (save Deepika) campaign and got every major actress in Bollywood to sign a petition to the Prime Minister asking for Deepika’s safety and protection. The actresses who signed included Hema Malini, Jaya Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vidya Balan, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha and many others, who happily signed the petition.
However, one leading actress refused to sign the petition, leaving several senior industry actors, including Shabana totally stumped.
“Kangana refused pointbank. She said an outright no to signing the Deepika Bachao petition, much to Shabana’s shock and annoyance,” says a source.
So when did things go wrong between Kangana and Deepika?
Way back in 2014, Deepika dedicated an award for Happy New Year (given by some publication) to Kangana’s performance in Queen. Kangana, however, criticised Deepika’s action saying it would have been more appropriate if she had personally appreciated her performance rather than speak about it in public.
Aamir Khan did put in the efforts to get the two actresses to talk and sort out their differences, however it did not help much it seems.
Later, during an interview with Rajiv Masand, Kangana confessed She and Deepika were not friends.
What upset Kangana further was “the complete silence” of the industry, including Deepika, when Kangana battled Hrithik Roshan.
So Kangana now feels there’s no need for her to extend any support to anyone.
