Madhavan’s shirtless selfie went viral. Not expecting such a huge response, the 3-Idiot actor says he is thankful and also embarrassed with the attention showered on him by his fans.

Madhavan looks much leaner and sports a salt and pepper look in the selfie. Thanks to his huge number of female fans, the selfie has garnered close to 1.5 lakh likes on Instagram (in less than a week).

“Now I ‘m a little embarrassed and under pressure, because I don’t look like that all the time and I am trying to see if I can be accepted again as a normal-looking guy. That was an unprecedented amount of attention from the world. I am embarrassed and thankful at the same time,” said R Madhavan.

Madhavan is no stranger to female attention. He became a hearthrob after playing a lover boy in ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ (2001), but surprisingly didn’t do many romantic films after that.
