Millions of viewers saw the trailers of movies like PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Chennai Express, Krrish 3, Dabangg 2, and its common to have in upward of 10 million viewers for movies with big stars.
Depending on the response to the teaser, the filmmakers could make changes to the trailer. And now, most filmmakers are even ready to make changes to the trailer if its going to enhance it.
Priyanka Chopra was not happy with the initial trailer of Krrish 3. She was sure that it could be made better if the changes were made, the producers obliged, and the results were there for everybody to see.
However, besides the trailer, its important for a potential blockbuster to have the following:
- Great script
- Presence of big stars definitely helps
- If the earlier version of a movie does well at the box-office, its comparatively easier to promote the sequel.
- Having great visuals, action, animation makes people excited.
Online buzz generated for a film is a strong indicator of its success at the box office. Going by the initial response to the movie’s trailer, and if the movie releases during holiday season, it could surely bring in the moolah.
