Good news for Indian cinema lovers, you can now watch Hindi classics on popular online video platforms such as Amazon Prime Video.
National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) has not only restored India’s most loved classics, but has also made them available through popular online video platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, and JioCinema.
Earlier, cinema lovers had to order DVDs from NFDC or watch these classics on NFDC’s own streaming platform, CinemasOfIndia.
“Our aim is that these classics over the last 30-40 years, which have pioneered Indian cinema, should be out there on all these platforms,” said Awadhesh Kumar, NFDC’s head of distribution and syndication.
The restored classics includes movies like Salaam Bombay, Ek Doctor Ki Maut, Gandhi, Mirch Masala, Om Dar-B-Dar, Percy, and Bioscope.
