Author Paulo Coelho says Shahrukh Khan is among the best actors in the world

Although Paulo Coelho is a Brazilian lyricist and novelist, he is a well known name even in India. Its because he is the author of several best-selling books, one of them being ‘The Alchemist’ (a bestseller around the world)

But guess what!

Paulo Coelho is a big fan of Bollywood and SRK, and he loves his movie “My Name is Khan”. He thinks Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan is one of the greatest actors in the world, and a wonderful human being too.

Shahrukh’s acting in ‘My Name is Khan’ was worthy of an Oscar, feels Paulo Coelho

Paulo Coelho thinks Shah Rukh Khan deserved an Academy Award (Oscar) for his performance in “My Name is Khan”.

The celebrity novelist praised the actor on the anniversary of the Karan Johar-directed film.

“‘My Name is Khan and I am not a terrorist’. Congratulations @iamsrk for the 7th anniversary of this wonderful movie!” wrote Paulo.

The tweet read, “His first (and only) movie that I watched (this year, even if it was released in 2008) was ‘My Name is Khan’ And not only was the movie excellent, but SRK deserved an Oscar if Hollywood was not manipulated. He kindly offered to send the other titles — as you probably guess, it is not easy to find them in Switzerland.”

Director Karan Johar thanked Paulo for his words of appreciation. “So honoured you liked our film this much…” wrote Karan.

A couple of years back, Shahrukh had tweeted a picture of the book ‘The Alchemist’ that was autographed by Paul Coelho.
