Russian Model dangles from top of a Dubai Skyscraper, without harness or protective gear, to get breathtaking shots.
The Russian model, who performed a daredevil photo shoot on the roof of a skyscraper, faces a possible lawsuit from the building’s developer.
The Cayan Group (that built the skyscraper) said they would file “legal action” against Viktoria Odintcova and the production team for shooting on the roof of Cayan Tower. Even the Dubai Police summoned Odintcova to sign an undertaking not to repeat any dangerous moves that could endanger her life in Dubai.
Cayan Tower is a 73-storey residential building in Dubai Marina, famous for its dazzling spiral design.
However, Odintcova is back in Moscow now. And although she has no plans to visit Dubai immediately, the model says that Dubai is her favourite city and she would love to be back when possible. “I can sign the papers if the police send them to me in the mail. Of course I’m not going to repeat this something dangerous again in Dubai.”
The Russian model did apologise “for the inconvenience in connection with my act”.
But, in replay to the legal action, Odintcova says, “We deserve a reward for disclosing weaknesses in the security of that building. We were at the rooftop of that building without any evil intentions, however someone else could have come out there to commit suicide or an act of terrorism.”
Ms Odintsova said the building was chosen “randomly”. After entering the tower and heading to the elevators, “no one asked us any questions, nobody checked our IDs or other documents. We went up to the roof, spent 40 minutes there. There were no security guards throughout the time we spent on the roof. Then, we went out.”
Meanwhile, the Cayan Group are in the process of reviewing their security procedures to understand and rectify the secutity lapses.
In the past, the Russian model has jumped from a bridge in Sochi and even swam with sharks.

How far would you go to get a good picture of your own self? If you’re a model, perhaps, you will go the extra length.
But would you risk your life for that? Definitely not!
However, Russian model Viki Odintcova seems to be an exception, and she definitely doesn’t have fear of heights.
Viki Odintcova got some dazzling pictures of herself from the top of a Dubai skyscraper.
While many are raving about the photos, many are saying that it definitely wasn’t worth the risk. It could even inspire other models to do some really risky things, which could result in a fatality.
The model even shared a behind-the-scenes video showing how she managed to get the picture. Fair warning, it definitely isn’t for the fainthearted.
The model is hanging off the Cayan Tower in Dubai, and her only support, throughout the photoshoot, is filmmaker Alexander Tikhomirov’s hand, which she casually holds on (as if she’s in the garden). That’s it…no harness, n other protection.
