Veteran Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan has died of cardiac arrest, at a Mumbai hospital. Saroj Khan’s condition deteriorated on Thursday night and she breathed her last at 1.52 am on Friday.
Saroj Khan was admitted to hospital due to breathing problems but she had tested negative for Covid-19.
Saroj Khan’s daughter Sukaina said that top celebrities like Madhuri Dixit, Govinda, Jackie Shroff kept in touch with her, and kept calling her up to ask about her health and how she was doing. They were all shocked to hear the news.
Saroj Khan played a big role in Madhuri Dixit’s stardom. “Miss you Saroj ji. Every conversation with her was full of knowledge, inspiration and energy. That’s how she lived life and that is how I will always remember her,” Madhuri wrote in an Instagram video.
“I came to you, wanting to learn dance. But I didn’t have money. And you told me, lovingly, we’ll worry about that later,” said Govinda recalling their first meeting.
