Set Designing for PhotoShoot: Convert Your Studio Into a Foreign Location (Part 2)

This is the second part of the article on set designing for photoshoot; how to convert your studio into a foreign location.

Here we take an example of how a part of studio is redesigned to make it look like a house in Greece.

Here’s one section of the studio, a window, where a small set will be designed. The window will make way for a white-washed wall.

Here’s the newly designed wall that will be used as the backdrop for one of the shoots.

A photoshoot in action for one of the clients. The catalog shoot is for sarees. You can see the stylist helping the model to get the layout of the saree right.

Once the catalog is ready with all the color-corrected pictures, one of the images used would be that of a house in Greece to give an impression that the catalog was shot in Greece.

Similar techniques are used even in film-making where the sets are designed to make them look like some place in a foreign location; usually this is done only where cost is a major constraint. Don’t expect the big production houses to do such things.
