Here are the top brands endorsed by Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan.
Shah Rukh Khan is brand ambassador of Online grocery store ‘BigBasket’
Those who live in the metro cities probably have already heard about BigBasket, a leading online grocery store in India. The company is on its way to becoming India’s largest online grocer, and is expanding big time with more focus on faster on-demand delivery. BigBasket has roped in Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as its brand ambassador; the company will use SRK on all channels—print, TV, outdoor and radio.
The superstar has been signed for an undisclosed fee. Regarding the remuneration to SRK, co-founder of BigBasket said “It’s not as little as we would have liked and not as much as what everybody believes it to be”.
A-list actors (Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and even Amitabh Bachchan) usually charge around Rs 8-12 crore annually for e-commerce endorsements.

BigBasket faces competition from the likes of Grofers and PepperTap, which are smaller but expanding rapidly. Online grocery portals make it easier for customers to do their regular grocery shopping and more competition means companies like BigBasket are willing to lessen delivery times to keep up or consolidate with other players.
Unlike Grofers and PepperTap, which partner with small local stores, BigBasket carries its own inventory. Although its a more expensive business model, it gives the company greater control over its products.
Brand ambassador Shahrukh Khan turns Panda for Foodpanda’s latest TVC
Global food delivery marketplace Foodpanda will engage Shahrukh Khan for a campaign across online and offline mediums — including, television, print, radio and outdoor.
You may have already seen SRK promoting online supermarket ‘Bigbasket’, and now he will be seen promoting Foodpanda.
“Shahrukh Khan is the biggest star our nation knows and his universal appeal cuts all age, gender and consumer demographics. We feel that this brand association between Foodpanda and Shahrukh will provide further impetus to our determination to change the way India eats. We will continue to keep a strong focus on strengthening food ordering and delivery experience,” said Saurabh Kochhar, chief executive officer, Foodpanda India.
Foodpanda largely competes with Zomato and Bengaluru-based Swiggy in India. Foodpanda is currently operational in over 100 cities in India.
