Investigators have ruled out financial woes as the reason for Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide. It seems the late actor had a net worth was around 59 crore INR and owned stylish bikes & cars, expensive telescope and space-related gadgets, and even owned land on moon.
Investigations into Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide reveal that he did not face any financial troubles. Sushant owned several luxurious products and had a passion for space-related things.
Sushant was a bike enthusiast and owned the stylish and expensive BMW K 1300 R motorcycle. He was also a proud owner of luxury sports car Maserati Quattroporte and a Land Rover Range Rover SUV.
The actor was passionate about space and astronomy and owned expensive gadgets to support his passion for space.
Sushant’s net worth was around 59 crore INR, and we used to charge between Rs 5-7 crore for a movie.
Sushant was also involved in several social initiatives, such as promoting NITI Aayog (Women Entrepreneurship programme) and Sushant4Education, an initiative to help young students.

Sushant Singh: Passion for Star Gazing and Astronomy
Sushant Singh Rajput moved to a seaside duplex bungalow with a sprawling 6,000 sqft terrace in BKC, Bandra (E), paying a rent of Rs 2 lakh per month, to get an unrestricted view of the sky.
Such was Rajput’s passion for star and moon gazing that he would spend the entire night gazing at stars with a powerful telescope and sets of powerful lenses (which was found in the house). The actor was the owner of an advanced telescope called the Meade 14″ LX600.
“It’s one of the most advanced telescopes in the world and I’m going to be able to see Saturn’s rings through it,” Sushant had said about the telescope.
It seems, as a child, Sushant dreamt of becoming an astronaut and work at NASA.
In 2019, Sushant even shared a video of the training that he took at USSRC (U.S. Space & Rocket Center) as he was going to play an astronaut for his upcoming film Chanda Mama Door Ke. “I am playing an astronaut in the film and I just finished training on a simulator this week. Sanjay (the director) has given me around 15 books and eight documentaries, including For All Mankind (1989) that documents National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Apollo mission, to understand the life of astronauts,” Sushant said in an interview.
The film was however shelved after Sushant’s death!
Because Sushant could not fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an astronaut, he was keen to help kids who had an interest in the subject. The actor had sent a few kids to NASA, one of them even won a gold medal and is now training to become an astronaut.
As per Sushant’s bucket list, he wanted to send many more kids to NASA in US.
In one of his interviews, Sushant had said, “I had done a workshop at NASA when I went there two years ago. Those who trained me had said that if I continued for a few more weeks, I would have received a certificate of instructor. So, now, I am planning to go to Houston to complete the training. It consists of everything that you need to know about going to space, including sitting in the centrifuge.”
The actor even felt he possibly stood a chance of going to the moon.
“NASA plans to send astronauts on the Moon by 2024. I am planning to prepare myself for it, in case I get lucky,” Sushant had said back then.
Many also claim that Sushant Singh Rajput had bought a piece of land in the region of Mare Muscoviense, also called the Sea of Muscovy on the moon.
Sushant Singh Rajput: Film Career
Sushant began his showbiz journey through Ekta Kapoor’s TV show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil but found stardom because of his role in the soap Pavitra Rishta (with Ankita Lokhande). He made his Bollywood debut in the film Kai Po Che (based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life).
Sushant has done films like Shuddh Desi Romance, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. He even had an important role in Raju Hirani directed PK.
Rajput was pursuing Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) in Delhi Technological University, when he decided to enroll for Shiamak Davar’s dance classes. There he met students who were also attending Barry John’s drama classes and influenced by them, Rajput also joined the acting classes. Soon, he became disenchanted with engineering and dropped out of college to pursue acting.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film “Dil Bechara” was an adaptation of John Green’s popular novel, “The fault in our stars”; the book has already been made into an Hollywood film by the same name.
Besides the nice performances, the movie has refreshing music by AR Rahman, who is still at the top of his game.
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Mumbai residence (Bandra), Mumbai Police said. He was 34 when he died. Sushant’s death came just barely a week after his former manager Disha Salian committed suicide last Monday by jumping off the 14th floor of her apartment in Mumbai.
Those who were close to Sushant say that he was under a lot of stress as most of the big banner films that he had signed, got canceled, and there were rumours that he had been replaced by star sons.

Sushant Singh Rajput & American fashion model and television personality Kendall Jenner come together for Fashion photoshoot in Jaipur, likely to feature in a renowned magazine’s upcoming issue.
While the photo-shoot was strictly guarded, photographers spotted Jenner and Sushant at the Jaipur airport, leaving for different destinations, after the photo-shoot.
The photoshoot was done by ace photographer Mario Testino, known for taking iconic portraits of royal families (he has shot the late Princess Diana, and also covered the engagement of William and Kate – Duke and Duchess of Cambridge).
Mario shot Sushant Singh Rajput and Kendall as prince and princess (after all, Rajasthan is the land of the Rajas).
