
The Jungle Book turned out to be one of the biggest hits in India for a Hollywood movie (the movie has already made $700 at the global box office, which is an awesome $0.7 billion, the movie was made on a a budget of $175 million).
Most Indians are well-versed with the story of The Jungle Book, thanks to the cartoon series that was made on ‘The Jungle Book’ years back.
Now Hollywood took this simple story (with interesting characters) and have turned into a blockbuster, using a mix of cutting-edge animation and live-action film-making.
And the audience didn’t expect such a huge leap in technical filmmaking at all.

In fact, India’s certification board gave it a UA rating, because in some of the scenes, they felt that the background sound effect was scary (say realistic).
So how did they shoot the movie?
If you take a look at the behind-the-scenes video of the movie, you will realize that a lot of cutting-edge animation has gone into the making of the movie.
