Republic Day and Independence day are the two days when you get to hear those evergreen classic patriotic songs on television, radio, and in the neighbourhood.

Though we all remember the ones from the movies of Manoj (Bharat) Kumar, there have been some really amazing patriotic songs from movies in recent years as well (Lakshya, Chak De! India, and albums like Vande Mataram).

Here’s a collection of some of the best patriotic hindi songs, especially dedicated to the young audience of India, many of whom may not have heard these evergreen classics before.
