Salman Khan says he kicked SRK for snoring loudly during the Karan-Arjun days. Shah Rukh was on Bigg Boss to promote his film ‘Dilwale’ when Salman shared this incident.
While filming for the episode, Salman couldn’t help but recall an interesting incident from the times when he was shooting with SRK for ‘Karan Arjun’. The story was about how SRK’s snores kept Salman and others in the room awake when they settled down to relax after a hard day at shoot.
“One day, a few guests came over to stay with us. So, Shah Rukh shifted to my room which I was sharing with Sohail (Khan) and Bunty Walia. All of us slept in the room on our beds. SRK fell asleep early and the way he started snoring…to which Shah Rukh interrupted, ‘I was down with nasal congestion. I had sinus that time. I don’t snore much'”. Salman then continued “It was hilarious to hear him snore in the beginning. However, it got too much for us when SRK’s snores started getting louder and louder. We then slowly pushed him off the bed. He woke up, lost his sleep and we ended up sleeping really well.”
However, SRK being the king of witty comebacks, he replied “I don’t snore now that much. You may test whether or not I still snore by sleeping with me after the show gets over.”
In any case, people who are fit usually don’t snore. But if someone is really exhausted on some day, or has nasal congestion, then he/she could end up snoring, and that’s what probably happened to Shahrukh.
Another interesting thing is that Shahrukh Khan was not really a big star until then. Karan Arjun released on 13 January 1995. It was only after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) that Shahrukh became the star. DDLJ released few months later on 19 October 1995. I really wonder if anybody would have dared to kick SRK after that. And in any case, there would have been no need for him to share a room with anybody. Few years later, SRK went on to build one of the most lavish bungalows (Mannat) in the whole of Mumbai.
