It seems Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who is in Leeds (United Kingdom) currently, shooting for Reema Kagti’s sports biopic ‘Gold’, prefers taking the train from Leeds to London.
Akshay Kumar took the train from Leeds to London (around 2 and half hours journey) to watch the Indian women’s team in action at Lords (for the India-England 2017 ICC women’s trophy final), hoping that Indian would win.
An excited Akshay Kumar even recorded a video and tweeted it when India’s score was around 116 for three. You can see how eager he was to reach the venue.
This is how excited I am, never in my life have I run for a train barefoot to make it in time for a match!! Come on #WomenInBlue #WWC17Final pic.twitter.com/hYFhTrP6eZ

Once at Lords, he was seen waving the Indian flag, and cheering for the Indian girls. He was also in focus on television, with the commentators mentioning his presence in the stands.

Unfortunately, like most other Indian fans, even he would have been disappointed in the end as India narrowly lost the finals against hosts England.
At one stage, when India were 191 for 3, the whole of India felt that India would win, but alas, that was not to happen. India collapsed and were all out for 219, losing the finals by nine runs.
Film Promotions in London
Few days back as well, Akshay had taken the train from Leeds to London, to attend a media event in London for his upcoming satirical film Toilet – Ek Prem Katha.
To save time, Akshay Kumar hopped onto a train, and since then, he seems to be liking that mode of transportation.
