The one dream that most parents have is to take their children on a Disney vacation. The challenge on the parents part is that they need to start planning (and saving) for it much in advance.
However, most are still willing to go to any lengths, so they can show their children the joys offered within the walls of the Castle like Disney World.
In case you’re also planning a Disney vacation here are some points to keep in mind to make the most of your vacation and have a great time, without having to make yourself bankrupt.

Disney Destinations Worldwide
American entertainment company ‘Walt Disney’ runs several theme parks around the world; apart from these theme parks Disney also owns the Disney Cruise Line.
The one at Florida, US is known as ‘DisneyWorld’ whereas the ones at the other locations around the globe is known as ‘DisneyLand’.
You have theme parks located in Florida, California, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo (the one at Hong Kong is smaller compared to the other theme parks).
Plans are currently on for a brand new theme park at Shanghai in China.
When asked about plans for India, Disney ruled out making any investments in a theme park in India due to lack of support infrastructure, and also about its sustainability (you need visitors to the park on an ongoing basis for 365-days a year).
So, depending on where you’re located around the world, you can decide which Disney park you want to go to for your vacation.
Plan Well In Advance
It’s important to plan well in advance and also decide how much money you want to spend on your holiday, and then work towards it. Once you have that figure, plan your trip considering that budget in mind.
Avoid going over board using your credit card, when on the trip, as you really don’t want to come back with a pile of debt.
Allocate funds to different aspects of the trip so you can cover all the basics, and use the leftover for the one-off splurge.
In case you’re also visiting other places, check of its possible to drive down to Disney World from the place where you’re put up. If its only a couple of hours away, you can drive down; this way you save on the flight tickets and also will have a vehicle to go around Disney World.

Accommodation and Food
Accommodation would be as per your preferences. You may stay at a hotel and if you want to keep the costs down, you can even stay in a private home or cottage. This way, you can save some money, but keep in mind the cost incurred going to and from to the Disney World theme parks (check if public transportation is available from where you’re put up).
Its always best to book your stay well in advance, to get the best prices.
You also remember that once at the park, its very easy to give into the various temptations at the park, so you need to factor that in as well. So if you wish, you could carry food, brought in from home (or cooked at the hotel room), to save money.
Final Thoughts
To enjoy your Walt Disney World vacation to the fullest, you need to allot around 3-4 days so that you can visit the various theme parks.
Even though it may look like an expensive vacation, by planning and taking a bit of extra effort, you can provide your children with a chance to enjoy the best rides and the adventures at Disney World.
