Paris has appeared in countless films, advertisements, & documentaries shot by filmmakers around the world. Though most of us can easily identify the ‘Eiffel Tower’, there are many more landmarks that have appeared in Indian films.
Paris, the capital city of France, is also said to be the city of love & lights. Its considered to be the most romantic place on earth, and many also consider ‘French’ as the language of love. With so much love around, at times I just wonder, why did Yash Chopra chose to shoot most of his romantic films in switzerland 🙂
Nevertheless, several Indian movies have been shot in this beautiful country, showing landscapes of Paris and other places in the background.
Kangna Ranaut starrer ‘Queen’ was partly shot in Paris. Kangna being a hardcore romantic and fashionista herself, loves Paris and its one of her favourite destinations in the world. Kangna loves the rich architect and culture of the city.

France is Wooing Bollywood Film Producers
Considering the fact that France has several beautiful locations, the French Government indeed would like to see more Indian films shot in their country. Its also safe, a cost-effective destination and an exciting place to shoot films.
Did you know that the government of France offers ‘Tax Rebate for International Productions’ (TRIP)? Under this scheme, any production house that spends at least one million Euros in France gets a tax rebate of 20 per cent.
Probably, that’s a bit too high for most Indian production houses, and I guess that’s the reason why not many more Indian films are being shot in France on a bigger scale.
