When you talk about a beach, you expect to see sand once you reach there. However the Panjin Red Beach in China is different; there’s no sand at all. And the red color is because of the sea weed Sueda. But it is not red throughout the year. Every autumn (beginning September), the entire area turns all red. But during summer it remains green.
Panjin is famous for its sea and river, birds and pumpjacks, red beaches and red crowned cranes, and modern and primitive civilization coexistence.

“Red Beach, located in Dawa County, Panjin, Liaoning, China, is famous for its landscape featuring the red plant of Suaeda salsa of the Chenopodiaceae family. It is based in the biggest wetland and reed marsh in the world.” – Wikipedia.
