Designed for race car lovers and adrenaline junkies, Ferrari Land (theme park) in Portaventura (Spain) will also be home to the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Europe.
Build at a cost of $100 million euros, and spread across 70,000 square meters, Ferrari Land is the younger sister to Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi, UAE (this one is spread over 86,000 square meters).
These parks allow you to get up and close with the famous luxury Italian car brand – Ferrari (a favorite of several Indian actors and cricketers), and also experience the heart-pumping sensations of driving a Formula 1 race car.
But there’s another star attraction at the Ferrari theme park in Spain.
Its the roller coaster ride in which the vertical accelerator propels riders up 112 meters at speeds of up to 180 km/hr in just five seconds.
Now that’s cool, and will surely appeal to speed junkies.
Other attractions include Ferrari Land Gallery, an interactive exhibit that takes visitors through the history of the legendary Italian car maker, racetrack, free fall tower and bounce-back tower, F1 simulators, pit stop, and speedway for kids.
Spain’s Ferrari Land will open in April, 2017. A Ferrari theme park is also set to open in China, while a fourth is being eyed for North America.
