The Patalpani waterfalls is located in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Dev Patel’s Oscar-nominated Hollywood starrer ‘Lion’ had scenes that were shot at this beautiful location.

The makers of Hollywood film ‘Lion’, featuring Dev Patel (British actor of Indian origin), shot at various locales like Patal Pani, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Ujjain, Dewas and Indore, in Madhya Pradesh.

More About Patalpani Waterfalls

A good place, beautiful destination, with beautiful panoramic natural view. The metre gauge train chugging near the plateau makes it an equally enchanting sight. Its great during rainy season. The waterfall is a bit isolated from Indore, and that’s what makes it even better. A must visit place near Indore.

How to Get There

Although Bhopal is the capital of Madhya Pradesh (M.P.), Indore is MP’s commercial capital and is well connected to other big cities in India. You can reach Indore by flight.

The nearest railway station is Patalpani railway station (2 km) on the Indore-Khandwa route. Mhow is the nearest town.
