Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has offered Rio Olympics medal winners – P V Sindhu (Silver in Badminton) & Sakshi Malik (Bronze in Wrestling), and even Dipa Karmakar (finished fourth in Gymnastics), a complimentary ride in the luxurious Maharajas’ Express train.

Maharajas’ Express, a signature product of IRCTC, offers finest luxury travel experience in India starting at USD 2,910 per person.

  • Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad
    The Ramoji Film City, locates near Hayathnagar, in Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) is among the largest film cities in the world. The studio also has an amusement park.

     

    Several in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and other regional films, TV commercials and serials are shot here.

 

IRCTC, India’s Biggest e-Commerce Player

IRCTC’s online ticketing system gets millions of hits every day and thousands of enquiries a second at peak hours. In terms of revenue (as filed with the Registrar of Companies), IRCTC is among India’s largest e-commerce players (almost 60% is ticketing sales and remaining is catering related).

IRCTC has also tied with companies like Amazon.in and Flipkart to sell various products, to provide a better shopping experience to its customers.

Customers who access the IRCTC portal can now buy products ranging from consumer electronics, books, shoes, apparel, bags to toys, exotic food products, personal hygiene products, pet supplies, musical instruments and many more, at the click of a button.

“The tie-up will give crores of our travellers and customers the joy of an easy and convenient shopping experience.

With this tie-up, IRCTC, a railway PSU, can now offer to its customers seamless online shopping opportunities in addition to booking travel tickets and hotel accommodations.
