Shah Rukh Khan, India’s richest celebrity (and one of the highest paid actors in the world), got paid Rs 50 for working as an usher at Pankaj Udhas concert.
Shah Rukh Khan is the Baadshah of Bollywood, one of the richest actors in the world, and loves to live life king style. Its so difficult to imagine SRK in the avatar of a common man, but he was one, many years back.
Shah Rukh Khan says that his first salary was Rs 50 that earned working as an usher (showing people where to sit in the auditorium) in a Pankaj Udhas concert.
Yes, that’s right! The multi-millionaire got paid a paltry Rs.50 (less than a dollar).
The actor said he got his salary of Rs 50 and boarded a train to Agra to see the Taj Mahal.
“Asked so telling. I earned my first salary ushering for a Pankaj Udhas concert in delhi Rs.50. took a train & saw Taj Mahal with the money. That was my first earning, I was an usher. We got Rs 50, so we went to Taj Mahal. There they used to give this Pink lassi. We were so hungry, we had nothing to eat, but the lassi was big. But I think there was a bumble bee in it. I remember the whole way back from Agra to Delhi I was throwing up,” said Shahrukh Khan during the promo of Raees when he boarded a train to promote his film.
