Most Indians may probably be not aware where Bosnia and Herzegovina is located, but its likely that they have heard about it (for the wrong reasons as the country was in the news more than a decade ago, for ethnic violence). However, today the country is safe to visit and the government is keen to revive its economy. One of the several things that it intends to do is to get more Indian tourists to its beautiful locations, and what better way to do it than to get Bollywood interested in its locations.
The country already attracts a good number of tourists every year; similar to India, even in Bosnia, the local tradition says that the guest should be treated like God. Bosnia has a rich history to offer to travelers. Majority of the country is covered by mountains; there are rivers, waterfalls and everything else that is required for an ideal travel destination.
The country has an abundance of natural beauty and picturesque locales, that are suitable for film-making. And now, the country is also willing to attract Indian film-makers with special sops and attractive deals.
“Our country would offer support to the Indian filmmakers right from municipal level to all the tiers depending upon their requirement. We will be happy to facilitate our support to Indian film-makers choosing Bosnia as a destination,” a Government official said.
