Post the deadly Pulwama terror attack, singer Daler Mehndi has urged the film fraternity, Bollywood and South Indian film industry to come together and create a fund that will help buy bullet-proof jackets and vehicles for the Indian soldiers.
The singer posted a video on his social media account suggesting the idea of providing bulletproof gear (jackets, vehicles, jammers) to our jawans. He captioned the video saying that he is ‘willing to do anything for a #bulletproofjacket to every Jawan of India. The Film, TV fraternity must stand up for our soldiers.’
The Bolo Ta Ra Ra singer wants to provide bullet proof jackets for all the soldiers so that they can survive such attacks.
“Even if I have to do 100 shows a year, where they don’t pay me, I want to collect all that money and use it to buy bulletproof jackets, vehicles and jammers for our country’s security forces,” Daler Mehndi.

The singer has requested the entertainment fraternity to stand up for the soldiers and even tagged Aamir Khan, Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor as well.
While it is a great thought, we wonder what the defence ministry of India has to say on the matter.
