A new Guinness World Record was created when a standard Porsche Cayenne Turbo S successfully towed an Air France Airbus A380 weighing 285-tonnes (the most sophisticated and largest passenger aircraft in the world) .
The Porsche car towed the massive aircraft over a distance of 42-metres at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
This is the heaviest aircraft to be pulled by a production car.

“We don’t usually go this far to test the limits of our cars but I think today we got pretty close. I could tell that it was working hard but the Cayenne didn’t complain and just got on with it. Our cars can go a bit beyond what our customers might expect – they’re designed to be tough. But even so, what the Cayenne did today was remarkable,” said Richard Payne, a technician at Porsche GB.
Well, was wondering, if the car was unharmed after the towing, then why did it stop after 42 metres? Maybe, because of the short runway, or probably they didn’t want to capture the car breaking down after such a wonderful start.
Nevertheless, an amazing video.
