However, many objected to Priyanka’s dress in the second picture, where she is seated cross-legged in front of the PM. Many felt that Priyanka should have worn something more formal while meeting Modi ji.
“Its shame that the lady could not meet in proper attire with PM. No decorum to sit in front of a Country Prime Minister,” says one of the comments, criticizing her attire.
However, the ‘Baywatch’ baddie Priyanka seemed unperturbed with the criticism and wrote a cryptic message on Instagram. “Legs for days… #itsthegenes with @madhuchopra nights out in #Berlin,” she captioned an image of herself with her mother.
However, her mother Madhu Chopra later clarified that the meeting was actually an impromptu one and Priyanka, who was scheduled to go for a ‘Baywatch’ promotional event in Berlin, latched at the opportunity to meet the PM depsite not have the time to change her dress.
Priyanka Chopra says Sikkim is ‘insurgency-hit’
When it comes to traveling, North-East India is usually not on the radar (despite it being so beautiful) of most Indians. That is one reason, there are several misconceptions about the place, one of them being North-East is full of militants, is insurgency-hit.
And that’s what even Priyanka Chopra did. During an interview at Toronto International Film Festival, Priyanka Chopra said that the state of Sikkim was “troubled by insurgency”.
But what is surprising is that Priyanka Chopra has produced a Sikkimese film ‘Pahuna’, touted as the first film from the region, and she is promoting the film everywhere.
So did she never travel to Sikkim being a producer of the film?
Perhaps not! Because otherwise she would have known that Sikkim is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India (rare exception in the North East).

Few government officials in Sikkim felt that Priyanka’s comments could tarnish the state’s image as a tourist destination. Massively trolled, Priyanka Chopra later apologised to the state government. Here’s Priyanka’s clarification.

Priyanka Chopra’s Kaju Katli dress at the Oscars
Priyanka Chopra’s silver Ralph and Russo gown with geometric patterns that she wore at the red carpet for Oscars was compared to Indian sweet ‘Kaju Katli’ by comedy collective AIB.
Priyanka’s gown was made using a structured bodice giving a peek-a-boo glimpse of Priyanka’s svelte figure. She paired her gown with towering ivory heels, donned a sleek, side-parted hair with minimal nude lips and smokey eyes. She completed her look with a set of scintillating diamond earrings and cuffs.
Indian comedy group All India Backchod (AIB) had a different perspective and compared the dress with India sweet Kaju Katli.
Kaju katli, also known as kaju Katari or kaju barfi, is a popular Indian dessert, similar to a barfi. Kaju means cashew nut in Hindi.
This is the image that AIB (All India Bakchod) posted.
“When You are Killing it in Hollywood, but Kaju Katli is life,” AIB
For a change, Twitter appears to be in agreement:
