Padukone was paid close to Rs.12 crore (US$1.7 million) for her role in Padmaavat, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Deepika lives in a Rs.15 crore (US$2 million) flat in the premium Beaumonde Towers in the upscale Prabhadevi area of Mumbai. She also owns many other flats in Mumbai that she has leased.
